Prerequisites

This program is intended for anyone with a genuine interest in having an in-depth understanding of Yin Yoga.

For those who already teach yoga, this course will prepare you to add Yin Yoga to your offerings.

For anyone who is an aspiring yoga teacher, industry standards require you to have at a minimum a 200-hour certification from a single school of yoga. This training does not count towards a 200-hour certification; however, it does count towards continuing education hours with Yoga Alliance and prepares you to teach Yin Yoga. You can take this program before or after a 200-hour training.

While Yin Yoga can be practiced by any body at any stage of life, it is recommended that you have at least one year of consistent yoga practice that includes (but does not need to be focused on) Yin Yoga. Having experience with yoga will give you the foundation you need to get the most out of this training.

Preparation

  • Homework and readings will be assigned 3-weeks before the in-person session begins. Make sure you have ordered the required text.

  • Please allow time in your weekly schedule to do the reading assignments.

  • Scale down your work and social commitments during the in-person days of the training. This will help you be focused and present during the training.

  • It is highly recommended that you practice Yin Yoga at least once a week in preparation for this training.

Certificate Requirements

100% attendance and assignment completion is required if you wish to receive a certificate.

This requirement is first and foremost so that YOU get the most out of this experience. Your attendance also impacts the energy of the group and this journey is intended to be a supportive, safe and sacred space for all participants. Finally, the teachers put forth immense amounts of time, energy and heart to offer this training and absences can distract from and dilute the content of the training.

Training Policies

Training Waiver: Signing a training waiver is required for all participants. This waiver will be sent once you are accepted to the program.

Deposits & Payments: A non-refundable deposit of $225 is required to save your spot. The remaining balance must be paid 4-weeks before the program start date.

Student Cancellations: Only partial refunds & credits for future trainings will be provided.

Student cancellation policies vary training by training depending on the location and other factors. Accepted students can refer to the training waiver for specific training policies.

If you paid in full, partial refunds can be requested in writing no later than 4-weeks before the program start date. If you cancel with less than 4-weeks before the program start, there are NO REFUNDS, only transfers to a future training. Trainings vary in duration, location and cost ~ we cannot refund you for trainings that cost more than others because the facilities, guest teachers, materials and services provided are paid for in advance. There may be additional fees to joining a future training.

If you cancel and request a refund more than 4-weeks before the session start date, the amount refunded will be less the $225 non-refundable deposit.

COVID-19, illness & medical incidents: if you have COVID-19, are ill or have a medical incident arise during training, I will do everything I can to welcome you virtually OR transfer your tuition to a future program.

Contact Caitlin Rose about custom Yin Yoga Trainings and workshops.

After years of teaching Yin Yoga from mainly self-study and online resources it was an honor and gift to study with Caitlin Rose Kenney. This training offered a deeper understanding of all things Yin Yoga, but it also offered rich grounds for communing with nature and the elements, practicing amongst a group of wise and compassionate women, digesting new mindfulness techniques, listening to poetry, and more... this time of training was so meaningful to me. I am left with a rawness that I’ve been craving and a re-ignition in my practice on a deeper level.
— Ashleigh Rose

I had a wonderful experience in this training, I was truly able to get an understanding of the essence of Yin Yoga and now feel capable applying the standards to my teachings inside and outside the world of yoga. Caitlin is a very skilled teacher and her knowledge comes across through many fields to illustrate idea coherently and succinctly. I highly recommend this training for anyone looking to enhance their understanding of Yin, Yoga, and Yin Yoga itself as a practitioner or teacher!

Caitlin’s Yin Yoga training is a beautiful, immersive experience. Everything I love about yin is embodied through her teaching style. She has nuanced ways of creating and holding a safe and sacred place for exploration and a deeper understanding of yin. Caitlin Rose is well versed in her subject matter but is never pretentious. She has an uncanny ability to make a deeply layered practice accessible for everyone.
— Kristen
If I could pick 2 words to describe Caitlin’s training, it would be deep and intentional. I have been practicing yoga for about 5 years and have always been drawn to yin as a compliment to the vinyasa practices and general active lifestyle I live. I connected to Caitlin’s use of meridian theories and this training did everything I was hoping to accomplish. I have a greater understanding and appreciation for what’s happening during moments of perceived stillness and language for how yin is healing and strengthening.

What is the difference between Yin Yoga Training and 200-hour Yoga Certification?

This Yin Yoga Training provides a focused and in depth study of Yin Yoga. Caitlin Rose is a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider and your hours of study can be logged under continuing education if you are a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance. While it is not a substitute for 200-hour Yoga Certification, it can be taken before or after a 200-hour training for those on a teaching path. 200-hour Yoga Certification is the minimum requirement, as recognized by Yoga Alliance, to qualify professional yoga teachers and provides foundational knowledge and skills. Given the wide breadth of yoga styles that exist today, there are innumerable fields of study one can focus on. This Yin Yoga Training is an excellent way to diversify your portfolio as a yoga teacher and explore anatomy, mindfulness, Meridian Theory and spiritual inquiry.

I don’t want to be a yoga teacher, is this program for me?

Yes! Most importantly, this program is designed to inspire your personal yoga practice, engage your intellect and be a container for emotional and spiritual inquiry. There will be exercises that cultivate teaching skills, and these practices are valuable regardless of whether you want to be a teacher because they ingrain knowledge. It does not matter how you wish to apply this training to your life, as long as you value learning and practicing this immersion will be a good fit.

Graduates from this program include Therapists, Social Workers, Artists, Business Consultants, Engineers, Massage Therapists, and Neurobiology Scientists.

Caitlin is a phenomenal teacher. She leads with effortless grace and creates space for each student and their unique situations. Her creativity shines through the training in a way that is inspiring and thought-provoking. I would recommend this training to anyone that wants to expand their knowledge of yoga, but also to anyone that is open to exploring the deeper physical and spiritual components of Yin Yoga.
